The TV show scrubs did an episode where Carla has PP. They subtly knock Tom Cruise and Scientology in this scene.

@uriituw Except for the fact that they break up families and require their members to break off all communication with any family members who are not scientologists. That's the main problem that I have with this cult. If your children become catholic and you decide it's not for you. At least they will still talk to you instead of disowning you as parents.

My point being: Christianity is no different, breaking up families, disowning non-believing relatives (jesus disowned his own mother in the bible, severing all familial ties himself to show his followers his example to live by). Just ask Damon Fowler what happened when he opposed the inclusion of prayer in his graduation ceremony. His parents disowned him, cut off all financial support and kicked him out of the house.

They're all insane cults. Jesus was no different.

@chopcow you are right. Its an insult to compare Scientology to Roman Catholic or any other main stream Christian groups. Scientology breaks family and isolates a disbeliever painfully.

I'm an atheist, and I take issue with some things religions do, but never have I seen anything like Scientology. It is truly disgusting, and truly shows what we let 'religions' get away with in this country. I wish there was something I could do to take down Scientology, but quite honestly, I'm more focused on gay rights right now. There are others who are working to stop that bullshit, and I'll let them handle it until my work in LGBT rights is done.

@chopcow I'm an Athiest but Scientology is not on the same level as proper religions, I mean most of them have stupid stuff but a lot of it is based on historical events and so on.

Scientology is directly responsible for several deaths, blackmail, bribes, death threats, stalking and so on,
