Quake2 wasnt as epic as Quake1.
Quake2 had great internet deathmatch. But not much more. Quake2 didnt live up to earn the name Quake, and for that reason, i think it suck.
Sin and Kingpin works because they made a compelling SinglePlayer game.
Both used the Q2-engine only because there wasnt really anything else to choose from.
Btw, forgot, i 'd love a good remake of the classic DukeNukem3D game.
And GTA ViceCity :P
Oh! And NeedForSpeed1.

Quake 2 does not suck, what the fuck is wrong with you, without it, you wouldn't even have this game or Kingpin.

Sin. Pure epic classic game. Like
Unreal1 and Kingpin.
They all deserve remakes, like Half-Life1 Black Mesa.
Oh, and also DOOM1 and DOOM2 and Quake1.
(NOT Quake2 and DOOM3, they suck)
