Fuck these idiots who think Toronto got ripped off on that deal. Who wouldn't grab up a 30+ goal scorer (who's still young, btw) for a top pick who hasn't proven anything? I think with all the picks Burke has acquired this year and with how well Kessel did, we can finally put this Seguin over Kessel bullshit to bed. Seguin, you have a lot to prove.

@supahcanfly Yes, I do agree that he's a great player. I never said that he wasn't, I just said he still isn't comparable to Kessel. Also, lets not count AHL stats because those don't translate to NHL at all. Also, might I remind you that Kessel currently has 10 goals and 11 assists in 14 games. Why bother comparing Seguin to Kessel? Let the kid develop and be happy that you have him, no one is telling you not to, but don't pretend like you guys ripped us off. Stats don't lie.

@furball411 And don't lie to yourself. Your team made a terrible trade to the Leafs. And don't even try to go on about the good trades you've done in the past. Nobody is talking about the past otherwise we wouldn't be talking about this one specific trade. Look at Lupul now, 43 points, just behind Kessel. Those two are tearing it up, they're even being compared with the Sedins.

Let's not forget he is playing for the Leafs, a team who aren't ready for the playoffs yet. Seguin played on a stanley cup team. If you want to call Seguin better because he has a cup then I guess Brett Lebda must be good too because he has one.

@furball411 so let me get this straight. We acquired the Leagues #2 Goal scorer and Point scorer for Seguin, an okay centre and Hamilton and Knight. This trade is basically Seguin and Hamilton for Kessel to start with. Knight is nothing special. 33 points in 30 games in the OHL. That seems good but this is the OHL we're talking about. 2. If Hamilton does not develop then what? Seguin for Kessel? The trade was a good even trade. There are morons like you who may think otherwise.
