  • I get a bad taste in my mouth watching this now, knowing that she was too young to be in that Olympics.

  • And me. I thought she was one of the more mature on the team as well... for instance, older than Ling Jie. But there's no way to know any more :/

  • @AsksOneThing She was proven not underage!

  • @buffytariq she admitted to being 14 following the games. makes you think about the current chinese gymnasts and the '08 team.

  • when i watched her in the all around i honestly though she was about 19 or 20 but cant believe she was only 15!

  • @kakumei77 She wasn't disqualified. She received a warning and got to keep her medal.

  • So who got the bronze if she was disqualified?

  • is it me or is every gymnast looking younger and younger? To me Yang Yun looked every bit 15. But every year China's team is looking tinier. For me i don't really care. If you're 13 and can do beautiful gymnastics great! It's just if a team does cheat look what happens. All your glory is stripped away 10 years later :(

  • love the dismount

  • @iLoveMyiPod2008 If you were an athlete who'd trained for most of your life for the one shot at an Olympic medal, and were cheated out by an athlete from a country that decided not to follow the rules, I doubt you would be so glib and dismissive. You don't have the slightest idea what the stakes are, do you?

  • @Qacc6 YOU need to read FIG's ruling. FIG, the federation itself, determined that China cheated.

  • @kikot84 No, that's not what it's about. Everyone has to play by the same rules. End of story. If the Chinese want to use younger gymnasts, they need to enter into competitions where that is allowed. Every country there left younger gymnasts home who might've come to the Olympics. The Chinese have always had fantastic gymnasts, they don't need to cheat. It disgusts me that they feel that's the only way they can compete.
