A clean and high-gain recording of my Jackson DK2M Dinky with a Dimarzio PAF in the neck and a Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge through my Marshall DSL100 testing the amp and the pickups.

Audio recorded with a Shure SM57 into my Boss BR-600 Digital Recorder.

Equipment used:
-Jackson DK2M Dinky
-Marshall DSL100
-Marshall 1960av Cabinet
-Dimarzio PAF (Neck)
-Dimarzio Super Distortion (Bridge)

The signal chain is running through my pedal board which consists of (in order from guitar to amp):
-Crybaby Classic Wah
-Boss GE-7 Equalizer
-Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer
-MXR Phase 90
-Boss TR-2 Tremolo
-Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor
-Boss TU-2 Chromatic Tuner

The only pedal that is on is the Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor.

The volume of the amp is set at stage volume (about 3).

Note: These pickups are the exact same pickups from my previous Dimarzio PAF and Super Distortion video, but they've been placed in my Jackson.

Also check out my other recorded clips for different gain settings and riffs.

  • Nice playing man, but I've never heard a neck pickup tone that I like. I can understand why Ozzy forbids his guitarists from ever using neck pickup.

  • @MrPomeroyWatson Yeah. The body/neck wood combo of the Jackson lend a very unique tone. The PAF sounds noticeably different in my Les Paul.

  • Best demo on youtube. 'Nuff said.

  • @BnHwrd Thanks man!

  • Would it be a good idea to put a neck AND bridge super distortion in my gibson les paul studio? Play everything from Sabbath to Radiohead, mostly rockin' stuff but still plenty of clean tones from time to time. What I'm really looking for is a nice Nickelback tone. (ha... that was a joke.)

  • @MarinatedTenderloins Haha, nice. It would certainly get you that nasty Nickelback tone in the neck lol.

  • @MrPomeroyWatson Zakk Wylder used his neck pickup alot!

  • @magicthunder666 Yes it is.

  • is this guitar made of alder?

  • @lilchile123 It's actually not a PAF Pro. The PAF that I have in this clip is a vintage model that was made before the PAF Pro or the PAF 36th Anniversary. It most closely resembles the PAF 36th Anniversary. I have other clips with PAF Pros.
