||The Ready Set|| /\Young Forever/\ (((Contest Entry)))

The hardships I went through making this video create a tale of epic triumphs and discoouraging losses. The first version of this video's (there are three) creation began around June 15th. I worked hard recording clips from the various setisodes and tour diaries, but I ultimately took my time during production. On the 24th, tragedy struck. Late at night, with only 20 seconds left, my computer went haywire. I backed up all my files and rebooted my computer figuring I would be able to find the video and finish it. Wrong. You see, when you back up files (at least on a PC) they are all magically transformed into .wim files. Incredibly hard to change back and impossible to sort through until they are. This little bit of information wasn't figured out until about noon the 25th. The 26th I'd be leaving for a week-long camp ment to give seventh and eighth graders (like myself) a chance to experience college life. At the camp i'd be given about 30 minutes every night of free time. the rest was busy and hectic. I was, however, able to accomplish the once thought impossible (mainly by my mommy), to recreate the video in about 12 hours, thus bringing us to the second version of this lovely video. I was overjoyed because the video was even better then the last. Well, my happiness was crushed when I tried to save the video as a movie file. It would let me. I was leaving for the camp the next day at noon and we spent the whole time trying to fix the problem. We eventually decided (pretty much as I was walking out the door) that it was because I had edited the clips in WMM without editing the original files. Half-way out of the city, I got the idea to record the second version of the video like I'd done with each of the clips and try to save the now simplified video. This would bring us to the final version, but the task was far more daunting than originally implied. It wasn't until now that I was able to record it was only minimal lagging. Despite the fact that this greatly deteriorates the quality, it's still my video and it's as good as it'll get at this point. So here I am, siting in my dorm room at the camp while my roommate, Lucy, reads Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows in her bunk, uoloading my video.

I hope you enjoy it. Even thoug, I was very challenged in the creation of this entry, I was taught to never give up.... so I never did...
