  • I accidentally deleted someone's post here. I don't remember whose it was, so if your post is not here, it's because I pressed the wrong button. I'm sorry about that.

  • Before Macs got raped him and Sioned were so nasty and selfish,no two people were more compatable.Scott did the one thing that would really mess with his head.Since the rape I defnelty like the two actors Rhys and Emily. They've done a great job.

  • @jspccz I think people who are posting 'Macs is to blame' are simply looking to make inflammatory statements and get a rise out of people. It's not just boring, but also childish. And like most bores, they are better off ignored.

  • I wonder if Macs is finally going to tell his fiancee about what Scott did to him. I feel so sorry for him. At least, he has Iolo and his dad there to support him. At a time like this, he really needs it. This storyline is getting interesting.

  • @namkun78 There's nothing wrong with Thailand, I just thought it was a weird place for the writers to send Scott. It's so random.

  • @vrymascstud09 I agree with you on how Sioned and Macs treated Scott.

And hey, I'll keep an eye out for your comments...it's been fun! No, really it has.

  • @PABWECG I'm really a very nice person and you seem that way too. And I agree, it's refreshing to demonstrate civility while disagreeing.

The writers did a nice job of potraying Macs and Sioned as selfish, nasty and egotistical. They treated Macs as a subhuman.

But because this is soap, I just can't forgive Macs and Sioned for how they treated Scott. It was painful to watch.

If I write something in the future that you disagree with, let me know......... I expect to hear from you!

  • @vrymascstud09 Of course I know that. But I think how we "treat" fictional characters translates into how we treat real people...especially since we live in a world which likes to divide people up into "good guys" and "bad guys" as opposed to simply all human beings, with good and bad about us.

I guess I do take even fantasy seriously...but that's me.

And thank you for the apology, btw. I appreciate it. It's nice to be able to exchange civil dialogue with people, even when we disagree.

  • @PABWECG I'm sorry my comments botherd you. That was not my intention.

May I suggest that you keep in mind that this is soap, fantasy.

  • @vrymascstud09 Of course not. But not all entertainment should make us laugh. Some should make us cry or make us angry, etc.

I was just pointing out that we can feel bad for Macs even while feeling bad for the people he's hurt. My "having fun" comment was because I was disturbed by someone's enjoying Mac's pain. That bothers me.

  • @PABWECG Soaps are written for the purpose of entertainment. Is that a bad thing?

  • @vrymascstud09 Having fun? How can you not feel bad for a person in pain? Any person. Even a person who has caused others pain. I guess I have a difficult time understanding that.

Macs hurt others and that was awful. Now, Macs is hurting and that's also awful.

  • @jhr459 Maybe a couple of weeks before the rape.

  • Dammit, they've gone and redeemed Sioned.
