GeoHot PS3 Hacker Beats Sony?

George Hotz or GeoHot, know for jailbreaking the iPhone; successfully hacking Sony's PlayStation 3, and then released the code needed for the hack online, along with a how-to video guide. According to Wired.com, Sony has dropped its jailbreaking lawsuit in exchange for a promise not to fiddle with the PS3 system anymore.

@Cobac I agree, but in todays time piracy is more of a personal secretive thing. No one is going to brag about having copied or downloaded games on the net unless they want to go to jail. I just ordered a 3.55 Kemeaw JB PS3 off of Ebay just recently. Yea I'm getting a hacked ps3, but I'm not going to jail behind it. Sony is just making empty threats about being banned b/c you cant even go online with a JB ps3 anyway due to the new firmware updates.Its only worth JB a ps3 if you have 2 ps3's
