Not everyone in Texas (especially in Houston/Galveston) are crazed bible-thumping evangelicals. Can you at least show some compassion for people living there or who have loved ones there?

Did you catch the Bush clip here? He stressed the government was helping by lifting EPA restrictions so (American) oil companies could keep oil coming in. Yes, the Gulf oil industry is important -- BUT WHAT ABOUT PEOPLE IN HARM'S WAY?! Not a word on floods, levy breaks, property damage, how to help victims, rebuilding.
During the RNC, Bush's speech was about how Gustav showed the need to help oil companies secure offshore drilling. He can turn any human tragedy into an opportunity for Big Oil.
