Hologram Foil Feed : Malahide Hot Stamping Machines for Plastic Card Holograms

Malahide card machines can be equipped with a specialized foil feed for stamping true holograms. Unlike regular hot stamping foil, hologram foil bears a registration mark beside each holographic image. This registration mark is used to locate the holographic image prior to stamping. The foil feed system is driven by a PLC controlled stepper motor. The stepper advances the foil until the registration mark is seen by the optical sensor. Once identified the foil advance stops and the hologram is stamped in register.
