Erika Stucky in the role of GINGER "Why". Carla Bleys Opera EOTH performed in der Philharmonie Essen 2006 , Germany. Orchestra Europeen Formation with Steve Swallow ft. Wolfgang Pushnig David Moss and MANY OTHERS.
Cool, cool, cool, original, original, original, fun, fun, fun, lifting off, flying, Carla Bley and all of this group make music onward: undiscovered largely but not buried treasure, I delight in these gems. Thanks.
The more I watch and hear this wonderful video the more I love it. The highly concentrated SteveSwallow near the end :) and most of all the fascinating performance of ErikaStucky: her warm and clear vocals and her really charming appearance in ev'ry moment of this song.
Omg!! I wish someone on the whole wide internet would post the lyrics to EOTH. Carla is so beautifull, btw.

Erika Stucky sings well but Linda Ronstadt's performance is much better.

A very good interpretation of "Why".
I was a bit sceptical, 'cos Linda Ronstadt was great there on the EOTH-record.
But Erika Stucky sung as marvellous as Linda.
