Quilombola War Cry!

While in Bahian Recôncavo, I visited a quilombo --Quilombo de Sao Francisco of the Paraguaçu. A beautiful place, not only because of the lush greenery; the brightly colored homes or even the awe-stricking town peak overlooking the Paraguaçu river. The land resonated with the warrior spirit of their ancestors who fought against the Portugues. In addition to sharing their history and news of their present struggle for their rights to their ancestral land and freedom from murderous tactics of farmers and police, they also shared their war cry that was deeply inspiring...
