SINOPSE:
Sónia, uma jovem mulher de S. Petersburgo, ambiciona uma vida melhor. Depois de conseguir um passaporte, envolve-se numa viagem que a faz percorrer a República Checa, a Alemanha, a Itália e que acaba em Portugal. Esta viagem desenrola-se como uma verdadeira descida aos infernos e Sónia encontra-se rapidamente enredada no submundo da prostituição internacional. Enfrenta inúmeras provas: rapto, sofrimento, solidão, loucura, violência, abjecção, humilhação. Para além de um medo sempre presente que oprime a personagem, existe uma incompreensão avassaladora, devida ao confronto com idiomas e comportamentos que não entende. Mas a coragem permanece e uma redenção parece possível na forma de uma esperança no amor, que nunca será completamente destruída.
