I feel like this song is so relatable to most of their audience, not to mention most young people in general. You reach a certain age, and you worry that you haven't lived up to your parents' expectations, let alone your own. It's as if this song embodies that moment where you look back on your life and realized how far you've come, and how much you have to go. In my opinion, one of the scariest moments in one's life.

as hipster as this sounds, i just bought this album on vinyl at Urban Outfitters. i normally wouldn't dare make sure a bold move. but i've had a record player for a while and i just had to hear the wonderful music of fleet foxes on some vinyl. one of the best decisions ive ever made.

Good song for a funeral. For the living as well as the dead. Wistful and nostalgic. Sad but not tragic. A lovely moment and thought rendered in song.
