You missed the sequencer it has thats just like FL studio's. Its on the top right of the DropZone rack... the little image button that looks like a drum pad. Then you can create loops and just drag them out to the length you want.
-
You could also just use the session drummer and put all the snare and kick samples in. Much easier than this.
And yeah, use a step sequenzer xD or at least quantize your recordings

How do you change the tempo of the metronome. I'm new to DAW's.

Studio One is like Logic on Mac : easy to start up, powerful if you dig a little (like the multi-takes options) and appealing too
ppl still think they NEED to use softwares supposed to be standard.
Like Protools or Cubase.
But in fact those two softwares are 80's softs, not 21st century.
Sonar X1 is nice...until you want something appealing and easy.
Too bad, because it is very powerful, probably the most powerful DAW for mixing audio with Samplitude.

Thanks for the tips! Are there any stock drum kits like the one you were using for Sonar? If not where did you get the one that was used in the video?

@HypeTingStudio Thats great to hear! I produce music and have been out of the DAW loop for a while and sold all my equipment a while back. But Ive been wanting to get back into it and have been researching DAWs like crazy and kept looking back at Studio One. As soon as I build my setup again I had planned on downloading the demo to really get into it. But do keep us posted on what you experience!

thank You very much for that demo !
It will save me much precious valuable live time !
its that kind of software which will make You think YOU are stupid,
but You are actually NOT!
Its just a huge pile of fucking shit, like all the stuff You''ll get from fucking USA today, where only Rothschilds bloody fake funny money counts !
Wake Up America !!!!
You US people are not worth to be fucked down by them.
Sonar X1 is just one example, what they are doing with You and Your wonderful country !
Thanks for taking the time to make a tutorial. Do the bugs in X1 make it unusable or are they just a pain in the ass?

@bigjoe747 No they're really bad. Really bad. Go to the cakewalk forum and there are tons of users complaining. It's been called several times a 'disaster'. It seems to have been outsourced to the third world for development. I would seriously check out Pro Tools 9.

@HypeTingStudio Have you had the chance to check out Presonus Studio One? IF so what are ur thoughts in comparison to x1?

@mrteezy I checkd out Studio One and you are right. It is the BEST out of all of them. I didn't even need to read the manual. It just works the way you want it to. Unfortunately, it crashed for me. Seems like it's a known buffer issue that they're working on. Most people don't have the problem though. Definatly CHECK OUT STUDIO ONE GUYS. It really is the best DAW out there.
