Pokémon - Last Battle (vs Rival)

My pick of Video Game Music of the Week for the week of February 23, 2008.

You've just defeated the Elite Four, hailed as the best Pokémon trainers in the world. But Lance, the final trainer, informs you that someone already defeated them before you. Suddenly, your rival, who's been one step ahead of you for your entire journey appears before you. You're fatigued, but you have just one more fight to prove yourself to be the best in the world.

Okay, just trust me on this one. If you steer clear of Pokémon games because of the fandom itself or whatever, you should at least try one. There are some great games there. Although not a lot of diversity in the main series. Anyway, as an added bonus this week, I've included two different versions of this song.

Fuck Gary's Alakazam. All the other Pokemon he has were a joke.. but Alakazam could reduce a solid team to NOTHING. Reflect / Recover / Psychic / Psybeam.. I still have nightmares of that monster raping me to death.

If you guys haven't discovered the manga Pokemon Adventures, I highly recommend you guys looking up the translated version. It's so much better than the anime and expands the stories from the games. Once you get over that the main characters' names are Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow... it's magnificent.
