God is tolerant of the sinner - He is NOT tolerant of the sin, that's why Jesus had to take the punishment for us - we all (as sinners) deserved what He got - that's the whole point of why He came to earth - "to set the captives (us) free!"

Everybody commenting on these videos, from all beliefs or rejection thereof, needs more tolerance.
Seriously, this has gotten out of hand :\

Ha! Now you are trying to justify stoning with "it was fine to do at that time". True Christian morals shining through again. Imagine if God wrote a book where the words and laws were everlasting.
-
Moral boundaries? Yeah, lets go back to stoning homosexuals, people who work on the Sabbath, people who worship other Gods, women who are not virgins on when they marry. Your God is a shining example of intolerance!

No. you fail to grasp that your analogy is completely bogus, and I have already outlined the reasons why. You fail to show why this is not the case. Your conclusions are baseless, with your faulty analogy. Again, homosexual relation and child molestation are completely different! One hurts children who don't know any better, the other is a relation between two mutally loving people (just like a heterosexual marriage!).
-
No, you haven't grasped the basic premise that homosexual relations hurt no one, and then poorely draw an analogy comparing it to child molesters and rapists.Sorry, this is like comparing apples with oranges. Two completely different things. With regards to morality. Are you saying that you would not be good if it wasn't for the invisible survielence camera in the sky? That's not moral, that is sucking up!Funnily, looking at basic stats, atheists are no more likely to commit crimes than Christians.

Your argument stems from nothing but a plea to emotion out of ignorance. Anyone with half a brain can distinguish between homosexual couples (who hurt no one) and a rapist (hurts victim) or child molester (hurts child). Here definitions from google about tolerance:
1. Permissiveness: a disposition to allow freedom of choice and behavior
2. Willingness to recognize and respect the beliefs or practices of others
3.Allowance: a permissible difference; allowing some freedom to move within limits
-
You are an idiot if you cannot distinguish between the tradgedy of child molestation and rape from a mutually loving homosexual couple. Rape - is to perform sexual act against a person's will, and a child is far too young to possibly want or understand sexual acts. This is clearly wrong, and no one supports this as it hurts both the child or victim both mentally, physically and emotionally. This is clearly different from a mutually loving homosexual marriage which hurts no one!

No tolerance means to allow people of different beliefs, views, and sexual preferences to live and let live. While it is fine that you don't agree with gay marriage, it is not fine that people like you continue to press against homosexual marriage and persecute them. What people do with their personal lives is no buisness of yours, nor should you have the right to dictate how they should live.
Listening to a Christian talk about tolerance, is like listening to a KKK member talk about civil rights.

Ofcourse there is confusion. They had to re-hash the meaning of tolerance throughout the ages. the crusades, the inquisition, ben stein, ken ham... etc etc.
