I don't care about who is faster - new or old - or any of that rubbish. I just love watching cars that actually look different to one another competing. Love the Charger.

Good to see the old Dinosaurs having a race. But they are fairly slow compared to nowdays standard cars :0 Regardless of the Fudged Exaggerated "Memories" of old people. A recent magazine pitted a stock XR6 FG (NON TURBO!!) against a supa dupa Supa Roo XY GTHO yadda yadda. The Stock na XR6 was FASTER in the 1/4 and FASTER around a circuit.....of course its been 40 years of improvement. Not to mention 30mpg vs 10 mpg (gtho). Ah the good ol days.....ARE NOW !!!!

@2175Wook Top speed was rated at 140 mph (225 kmh)
Power was said to be 300 bhp (225 kw) by Ford although it was later found that this was downplayed by Ford Australia to avoid public backlash over such a high powered local car (back in the early 70's here in Oz people were still very conservative in their views of high powered local cars, many believed they encouraged hoon drivers). Also the GTHO was not an imported Supercar and it was affordable to locals.
Weight was 3366.5 lbs (1527 kg).

@mad94d i think that the XY GTHO falcon had about 330+ hp had a top speed of about 150 mph and wiegh somewhere around a tonne
