This is the first part of a photo and video essay of the excavation of our great uncle Amin Isbir's headstone in Normandy France. The essay chronicles the graveside events of May 20th 2009. It took nearly 5 years of persistent effort to gather the evidence to warrant the change of his marker. He was killed in action on June 6th, D-Day, but hostilities prevented his body to be recovered until June 8th. 10 of his platoon-mates attested to this fact. This is part one of several essays I will be posting over the next few weeks documenting our trip to Normandy. It takes a bit of time to assemble all the pieces plus add the text, so bare with me. Thank you for watching, learning and remembering that the price of freedom is never free. - Eric Montgomery
