A quick overnight backpacking trip with LadyLobo (my wife) and me. Join us as we head up a couple of miles into a peaceful Rocky Mountain setting. Enjoy the view at our campsite overlooking the city below. We truly felt, "Above It All". Above the city physically and our spirits and hearts soared above the hustle and bustle. I show off two SOG fixed blade knives and the Kel-Tec PF9. I also mention a little philosophy on my role as a husband and a protector.

  • Thats a great video.. Nice post pro and camera work. Gotta love the Rocky's.

  • @beactivelife Thanks my friend. Sometimes the post production is just as fun as the actual event. In a different way of course.

  • do you hunt to ?

  • @ARTnSKIN Only Coyote on occasion. I grew up hunting rabbit and coyote. My dad wasn't really into hunting so we never went deer hunting or anything like that. I had some friends growing up who were really into that and I tagged along once in a while. I'm not against hunting but it's not a main activity of mine. What about you? Are you a hunter?

  • looks like a great trip, love those skillet breakfasts

  • @beast12101 The Breakfast Skillet was actually really good. This was the first time we tried it. I'm sure we will get it again.

Nice video..maybe think of carrying a heavier caliber pistol like a 45 .. a high capacity X- DM or Glock..have fun but watch those dangerous animals (or even people)

  • awesome video and nice hike, thanks for sharing.

  • thanks for the great video, loved it! But is there any particular reason why you bring that gun? I am not sure on the exact location where you were at, but where i hike we have massive Grizzlies. I guess if you unload into a bear quickly in the right spot it will slow it down, but i think a bigger caliber will do a better job, and it is always a good idea to bring bear spray with you too, just so if there is a chance, you are not forced to kill anything, but just scare it.

  • i would say the taurus 38 you got for your bday is a better choice now for your personal camp protection gun

  • hi , are there wild animals like bear at rockies ?

  • Nice fun backpacking trip with the Lobos! Thanks for taking us along.

  • Nice

  • Very awesome video. I just got a PF9, its a great little gun. Very good philosophy!
