  • During the mid 80s and 90s politicians led us to believe spiraling economic depression was as a result of immigrant action - this was not true - it was a result of bad economic policy and restructuring.

  • We had the highest literacy rate in the world before deregulation - on par with Bhutan. Obviously we had the occasional pregnancy, suicide and unemployed person but it was nowhere near the extent we are witnessing under deregulation.

  • @bondhemibond @SAINTJIMMY1234 I think you are missing the whole point - they are wanting a fair wage with $15 being a start point and massive regulatory action to end corporate corruption and monopoly - since "rogernomics" was introduced back in the 1980s , New Zealand went from being rated in the top 3 in the developed world to where we are now - SOLELY as a result of deregulation. We have widespread poverty, high suicide and teenage pregnancy - something that was unheard of pre 80s.

  • @bondhemibond i was meaning the fact that they want all these people on the same wage. that's a communist ideal.

but it cant work that way.

  • @bondhemibond The workers are essential for any infrastructure - the higher cells can be trained, NZ has an excess of executive management... check any dole queue.

  • @bondhemibond these people are not wanting common properties, they are wanting a fair wage for their time. The country can run without overpaid political figures but it can not run without workers. The 80s proved this - massive strikes all over New Zealand cripple New Zealand because the key workers are the lower to middle income wage earners.

  • @SAINTJIMMY1234 for your benefit ... com·mu·nism [kom-yuh-niz-uhm] 1.

a theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common, actual ownership being ascribed to the community as a whole or to the state.

    2.

(often initial capital letter) a system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self-perpetuating political party.

    -

  • @SAINTJIMMY1234 again dictionary.

  • this is bullshit God built our system like this, poor, living well, rich ...... !

so far government compensate poor guys from rich guys taxes.

I wish poor guys work harder they could have higher life quality & income

  • @bondhemibond everyone getting $30 and hour, even if they work at Mc Donald's = communism
