what would you recommend out of dd20, nova delay, space echo or line 6 for ambient epic sounds mate? I was thinking the line 6 would be a must as a background delay noise and then have one of the others over the top to really make the sound big. Which one tho?
cant really compare, each has it perks and quirks:)
ive owned 3 of ur delay choices tho, the dd20, line 6 and nova. honestly, i loved the dd20 the most, warmest delay tones and had a looping functions plus not too much space taken up as compared to the line6.
So for big sounds, the dd20 is definitely more than enough. line6 has really nice analog tones for their delay patches and if ambient music is your thing, you'd love it. that's if you dont mind tonal loss.
for clear tones, real distinct and crisp delays that cut thru, the nova's the winner. but no internal looper, that's a bummer for me but if u dun need one and want clearer delay 'chuggas', thats for u.
I see. I used to play it at my school, except no leet ambient gear like you. =P
I used a tiny bit of very spacy delay and I'd shred my heart off on that simple yet awesome sounding line. Would you recommend the TC Nova or DL4 first?
depends bro. u want an onboard looper function? only the dl4 has that. but if you want nicer delay tones, the nova did it better for me. Size wise, the nova's a sure winner too!
