This is a couple minutes with a panning view of of the valley where Hogscald Creek (?) runs into Beaver Lake. It shows the bluffs a little toward the end. The lighting here was getting a bit dim at the time and there are lots of broken limbs - due to the beavers and the ice storm a year or so back. So it's a nice spot but it gets prettier further up the valley. However the audio was very good since the frogs (and a couple of birds) were singing nicely here, so I decided to record it... with my camera : )

  • Every season has a sound. The peepers of early spring and the bullfrogs and whippoorwills later on; the mockingbird or early summer mornings, the cicadas during the hot days and the katydids at night. The arrival of the winter constellations are heralded by the chirping crickerts.

  • I heard this last night! I was walking our puppy and the frogs started peeping! First time this year! It sounds like that almost every night in the spring and summer here in Maine.

  • Nice, I can't wait for spring again .
