On September 17, 2009, Senator Landrieu (D-LA) took to the floor of the senate to blast two amendments proposed by Senator Vitter aimed at riling up his base by attacking poor minorities in New Orleans.
The first amendment (No. 2359) would evict families from New Orleans (and ONLY New Orleans) public housing if a family member gets into trouble.
Another would require the poor to perform community service, presumably to pay back their debt to the government, while ignoring others who receive government largesse, like investment bankers and insurance executives.
Here is the text of the Vitter Amendment: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/D?d111:74:./temp/~bd07vd::

" Mary almost lost last election she will lose next time."
LOL. The same song I've been hearing for over a dozen years now, yet it never comes to pass. Anyway, scooter, she won by more than 120,000 votes last time. Not sure on what planet that equals "almost losing," but it isn't this one.

Whats wrong with this Mary ? You don't have to put up with these project people running amuck like I do living in New Orleans. Public housing is a zoo ! Mary almost lost last election she will lose next time. You lie Mary housing projects are not working in New Orleans.
