Incidentally the theme music here is an adaptation of a Buzzcocks song called "Give It to Me" by their front man, Pete Shelley, who was crossing over into electronica in the mid-80s. I don't think it was ever available as a recording . . . which is a shame, because I'm sure that contemporary DJs could do cool things with it.
if you watch it at 1.45,one wanders if todays deep rims,concealed braks cables,etc,etc would make the bike/rider any faster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have this on video, hard to believe it's 22 years ago.
I used to watch it as a 7 year old before going out on my bike imagining I was lemond taking on Hinault.
What is the C4 theme music called? I'll love to have a copy of it.
