I've been watching the last 2 remaining "Redbird Subway Trains," at 180th Street Train Yard in the Bronx for a few years now. (U saw them in the movie "Carlito's Way"). I understand the "redbirds" became an artificial reef off the coast of New Jersey. It's not the lighting. These are being repainted for a movie or museum? The first successful attempt (Mayor Koch) at fighting graffiti. The new trains suck! Graffiti Forever!

  • This brings back many fond memories! Let me guess, were you on the southbound #2 train as it was coming down the elevated incline towards the 180th street station?

  • @ACLTony Exactly!

  • @Adragon1 OK. Thank you for posting this. Makes me wish I could go back in time to the late 60s-early 70s. Simpler times.
