The Tomatina festival, or La Tomatina as it is fondly called in Spain, is a tomato splatting festival. It is held in the Valencia town of Buñol and yes, you actually have to throw tomatoes at people. Fun isn't it? The festival is held on the last Wednesday in August during the Buñol festival week.
