Welcome onboard the state of the art airliner, PanAm Boeing 707. Just taken into service in 1958 this was the most luxurious in air travel at that time.

Awesome, I love clips like this, thanks for posting! Nice to know people were so civilized at one point in time. In spite of the gas guzzling engines and black smoke in the beginning, the 707 is a classic. Proud to say I've flown on one (I think, which gives away my age :()

I fly for United Airlines and we acquired PanAm's London Base at Heathrow. I fly there somewhat often, but I certainly yearn for those bygone years!! Very nice video!

Those were the days! Maybe if people would pay what they should be paying for air travel some of the glitz would come back!

No! that would not come back... Things changed with the Reagan administration during the 1980's when they began the process of deregulation of business in the name of capitalism.
