Efforts to Address Climate Change - Christmas (2 of 6)

Representatives of the North American and Global Steel Industries discussed the merits of a global steel sectoral approach to climate change at a briefing held Friday, June 20, 2008, at the U.S. Capitol. With companies in North America and around the world in both developed and developing countries, including China, indicating willingness to participate in a sectoral approach, it offers a more promising avenue for reducing greenhouse gas emission as compared to cap and trade regional policies, such as those currently used in the EU.
