Live performance of The "Brecker Brothers" song "Some Skunk Funk". This song features Isaac Dumont on Drums, as well as some of Montreal's finest session players and myself on bass. I would have liked to film this from the audience perspective but we were only able to film from side stage.

  • I was present at this Mtl drumfest and let me say you rocked that day ! You were the best among all others Yamaha's rising stars !

  • Thanks! I passed the word onto Isaac, check him out on Youtube, his user name is stixmanix

  • Why did u choose the j=bass u thought u said the signiture fretless was ur favorite

  • Thanks for the question. I decided to use the j-bass because there is a bass section with some slapping and tapping, which I find doesn't work well on a fretless. I still think the Willis bass is much better though.

  • Awesome performance indeed!

  • too cool, like ZAPPA

  • Thanks for this post! This tune is a cooker. Props for sure.

  • Est-ce que je reconnais François D'Amours au sax Tenor? Si oui dis-lui bonjour de ma part (Pierre Breton).

P.S.: Excellente interprétation de ce classique. Et impressionant tes talents de bassiste. Bravo!
