Split Window Syndicate lowers Robs 1960 VW Double Cab. Scrounge around junk yards looking for parts in Colorado. Lots of buses, ghias, bugs and type 3s. See Robs bus getting dropped.

  • slammed to perfection indeed...but does it handle OK on what appears to be "get 'er there" doughnut spare tire looking wheels...?

  • Rob still has not finished the body work and paint and motor. This bus is yet to be on the road. It does have 15 inch BRM's and 165 45 15's all around. i have done 4 buses like this and they ride pretty damn nice for a lowered bus. We dont totally slam them cause I drive my bus year round in Denver.

  • Awesome job, I want one!!

  • love it. Whos the frame builder tig'ing away there?

  • Yeah, I see 'em being good and stable rolling down low--one thing I didn't enjoy was driving my '62 camper across the flats of Kansas in a crosswind on a two-lane road, and a big truck passes you by going the other way. I bet a single cab is super stable. My town is fulla potholes, RxR crossings, crowned streets and speedbumps, so I'd be throwing sparks and cutting channels in the pavement.
