What a way to treat a guest, especially one that is an expert on public affairs. It's interesting how Negus comments that Webber is not a "political sociologist or a legal expert" yet fails to acknowledge that Wilson is as close to that as this sorry excuse for a news program is going to get. If his position wasn't relevant and his logic is an "outrageous leap" why did they invite him on the show as an expert commentator? This show disgusts me.

A nanny state is not a solution for stupidity, stupidity knows no bounds, it will challenge the nanny state and cause break downs in communication between police and the public and could cause a tiered society of people who won't comply with any laws at all.

I'm born and raised in Australia, I have done a lot of travelling in my life, traveled to many countries, and yes, Australia is without a doubt a nanny-state. It sickens me to think such a great country is being over protected by selfish politicians who just want votes from pussies alike.

@lordrevanchist Because you cried about it, I will reply. Firstly alcohol is not bad for you in moderation. Cigarettes however are ALWAYS nothing but bad for you. Most of what you mentioned is a moderation thing. Did you know that in high amounts water can kill you? It's not like the government is responsible for common sense in consumers. Other things such as additives to food - like Europe we should have food STANDARDS. I think something SHOULD be done. Junk food ads should be banned for kids
