Great leader. Southern Slavic people needed his system, since they were trying to rip each other apart with their nationalisms, as they did after his death. He also balanced the Serbian kingdom's hegemonistic aspirations, giving a much needed republic for the Macedonian Slavs (Bulgaria and Greece were the main "enemies" at the time.. wanting to homogenize the Macedonians to the appropriate nation) The damn Balkans were a mess after the fall of the Ottoman.
