This mother board can be used for gaming, this is my system:
Antec Nine Hundred Two case
680W power
ASUS M3A78-CM mobo
AMD 64 X2 5400+ @ 3.08Ghz
AC 64 Pro cpu cooler
Radeon HD 4830
optical, hard drive, etc...
Yes, this board is compact, that is why this guy assumes it is for a media center, but it can be used for gaming: ran crysis at ultra settings with 10 fps; running dawn of war II on ultra settings with no problems.
cpu cooler overlaps ram, and video card overlaps 1 pci slot...

You can save a lot of money in buying an AMD cpu. They're basically the same when it comes to performance.

To all pc buyer I always recommend ASUS motherboards. They will last longer compared to other motherboards. Their quality is number 1. If you're a hardcore core gamer. This is definitly the best for you.

I have been using amd for the last 8 years. The athlon XP processor was the best during that time. More faster than P4 intel. But when intel core 2 duo hit the market, intel now leads the CPu race. But if your just a home user and a budget buyer. Then go for amd base cpu. If you are a heavy multimedia user, adobe photoshop and corel draw. Then go for intel core 2 duo.

presently intel will give the best options. BUT there's a big difference beteween the price of intel and amd. If you're only a diehard gaming user. well I recommend the AMD. The obvious reason its price is cheaper, you save your money. Then buy a high end video card or a midrange card will do like 9800gt or 96oogt.

presently i have a 2pc's. intel and amd processor. i build these 2 cpu's for the sake of comparison who got the best performance. first intel core 2 duo. well i could say that you can do multitasking much better than the athlon dual core. you can play 2 online games running at the same time while watching a yuotube video. AMD cpu's they're also good in gaming but when it comes to multitasking intel was the better procesor.
