  • @flavius29663 bilieve me, i know,, wat a dive bomber is. Bu here he seems is not to be diving also.

Again, only i can imagine before ATGMs have gone into fashion, is cluster bombs with cumulative bomblettes.

  • @acb1511 these were dive bombers, that means the plane was going straight towards the tank as if it was a kamikaze. After the bombs are fired, the plane rises abruptly to avoid impact. This way, the bombs have the momentum and direction of the plane, and so they hit the target quite accurate.

  • always good to see bolsheviks burn

  • I have no idea about combat planes, especially in WWII, but i cannot imagine a tank directly hit by ungudied missiles form a plane, even by WWII speeds.

Think yourself, the length of a tank is, maybe 3 meters, on 400 km/h you will fly this distnse in 0.012 secs, if you launch 0.01 sec later or earler, you will miss 3 meters, which is completely impossible.

Even with common trench ATGMs in the actual times, tanks are missed easy as shit, and you talk about ungidied ones being shot from a plane.

  • Que lindo es ver volar es pedazos los tanques de los malditos sovieticos ..

  • Is it weird to have a boner?

  • 0.05 - Valentine

    0.11 - KV-1

    0.17 - Unknown tank

  • Its for sure not t34. Looks like churchill. UdSSR got churchils, matildas, m3 lee and some other tanks as military-help from UK.

  • @GeorgiaBoy1961 yup ;)

  • @FRforcing: If they used a mixture of HE and AP shells, ground attack Stukas probably destroyed plenty of tanks.... no argument there. That's proven correct. My comment concerned the specific vehicles in the film footage; it is not apparent that all of them were destroyed... it's tough to make out at times, the images are't always clear.
