Bernard Rimland hosts the introduction of a few of the children who have made huge improvements and recoveries in the Autism Spectrum. Autism IS Treatable!!!
I have mixed emotions after viewing this. That these kids are loved is without question. If they are more comfortable and feel good about themselves, that is great. Communicating and sharing might be easier now. I've met kids who truly seem happier and feel more successful after these interventions. However, it is just so important to remember that these kids are still autistic and that acceptance is terribly important.
I think everyone's idea of recovery varies. It could be as individual as each person. Also some sensory issues are mixed in and can resolve themselves over time. It can appear the child is improving. I just don't feel its a disease. On a spectrum it can go from severe to mild. But if these parents and children are happy I can't knock them. I'm happy with my teen despite the challenges autism presents.
OK TO ALL: MY SON IS FULLY RECOVERED THANKS TO BIOMED TREATMENTS;
TODAY THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN TELL HE EVER HAD A 'PROBLEM' We did no therapies, but the full biomed stuff.. He was non verbal, low functioning
But if you don't believe it's possible, there is little chance it's gonna happen...
Success to you all and health to your kids!

I am sorry the outside may look normal now, but the inner autism never recovers, it is the behaviour that is learned or forced.
