  • are these pretty good little bikes? i'll be buying a bike in a few months to learn on and i've been thinking about getting one of these

  • I just picked one of these bikes up, they are a ton of fun

  • @na6drifter

You had a CL 350. CL's, with the chromed side pipes, were Scramblers. The Honda's with the upswept black pipes were and SL's were called Motosports.

I had a 68 CL450. The first year and first model Honda to have a 5 sp tranny. And, yes, they were sexy as hell, literally. Not to be nasty, but I got more, um...sex, because of that bike than a football team of jocks in my HighSchool did. LOL

I'd let Mike Tyson whip me and bite my ear off to have that bike back.

  • sweet sounding bike ahhhh

  • what do they sound like straight piped?

  • i have what i think is a 66 350 but it has the same exhaust what bike do i have did they make 350s with that exhaust or is it a 450 it dosnt run and is missing a gas tank and seat so its hard to tell what it is any ideas

  • I had a 72 cL 450,it was pretty fast for the cc and age, kool ride,I bought a basket case and restored it in 1987,took a year in my spare time

  • I totally agree.. that's one sweet bike! Sexy too. :) I'd love to have one!

(The new ones are nice but not the same.)

  • Actually we started seeing CB450s with the 750 frontend in 1971. Our sales manager told us Honda was phasing out all of the CL models in favor of the new SL models. I owned a total of 7 450s but only one was a CB, the CLs made 2 less HP for a gain of 3# in torque and better mid range response. This made them perfect for city riding and stoplight to stoplight racing.

  • Why? just buy a new bike :)
