Two O. scyllarus copulating. Note that the female gives a series of short "jerks" at the beginning of the sequence. This display excites the male and leads him to mount. Also note that the entire time that the male is mounted, he is vigorously scratching the female's carapace with his first maxillipeds. This stimulates her and causes her to remain still. You then see a few positioning thrusts as the male inserts his gonopods in to the female's gonopores. One inserted, he speeds up the thrusts and ejaculates.
