@Pusher786 Absolutely, I didn't know this band until very recently, so thanks to everyone who posted their stuff. I've been listening to all this old music, like this and especially Heaven 17, and it so much more politically conscious and more creatively adventurous than loads of contemporary music. Most of it isn't worth giving any time to, you really have to look around. Dr Robert, though, I like him.

Oh, well thank you for all the info!

@SweetenThekitty96 The song is purported to be about Margarat Thatcher. When the single came out, BBC actually stopped playing it as they thought the title was a 'subliminal message' to the people ('Out with her') to get rid of Margarate Thatcher. the title of the LP that the songs from also referred to Thatcher and was called "She was only a grocer's daughter". Like Style Council, Blow Monkeys made truly great music but dealt with real political themes too. Bravo Dr Robert!

It's not the makeup but the swishy dancing that does not have me convinced. Listen, I'm a heterosexual gal who has fantasized about shagging Dr. Robert rotten for decades. But I'm just not convinced. (Not that there is anything wrong with him being gay if he is gay.... )
He is more than welcome to prove me wrong, however
i saw them last night and had a chat with robert, he's s lovely guy

I have to agree with 1973833, the 80s were rock solid with such a plethora of musical styles, especially the UK 80s scene which was out of control...I want the music from the 80s back!!!....now!
