Why does it always have to be one way or the other with this UK vs. US bullshit? I think Friends is an awesome show, and I think Tommy Cooper is FREAKING HILARIOUS. All this nationalism is so ridiculous. People, not countries, have different senses of humor. If someone doesn't think Mr. Cooper is funny, then their sense of humor probably sucks. Not because "they're American," but...because their sense of humor sucks.

Tommy is a brilliant comedian of the old school of comedy which unlike some comedy today he wrote alot of his own jokes,material and,scripts as well as performed them.Although being from a younger generation I will always admire & respect people the likes of Tommy,Will Hay,Laurel & Hardy,Arthur Askey & Chaplin & the talents they possessed.Heaven knows what heights they could of achieved if they'd of had the resources we have now.

Remember watching this with my grandparents. They were in tears laughing!

I went over to theirs every time he was on telly cos my parents weren't big fans.

"Come on lad. Sit with us and watch Tommy. here's a cup of tea." I think to get him you also have to know the mentality of the people of his generation

Only 2 times have I seen my step father cry, once was losing him and my mum's child and Tommy Cooper dying on stage! A true legend and you have to see his speech at Dean Martin's birthday, look it up on youtube, utterly brilliant and drunk at the time as he didn't have his prop's and really nervous, please go and look at at.
