VIVOTEK Megapixel Surveillance
■ Wide Coverage
2-megapixel network camera can cover an area 6 times larger than a conventional VGA network camera, resulting in significantly reduced installation costs.

■ Exceptional Details
A megapixel camera provides superior image quality compared to a standard resolution camera. Thus, it can offer sufficient details for applications that require accurate identification such as a vehicle license plate.

■ Cropping
Users can crop unnecessary information and simply transmit video of the target region of the camera view for viewing or storage, so bandwidth resources and storage space can be used more efficiently.

■ ePTZ
Users can quickly move to a target area for close-up shots by clicking on the camera video feed on their screen. Because only the image of the target region is transmitted, bandwidth requirements are significantly reduced.

■ Multiple Streams
Each video stream can be delivered simultaneously in different resolutions, frame rate, and image quality to various types of devices giving users more flexibility for dealing with camera images on multiple platforms.

■ Activity Adaptive Streaming
The function allocates bandwidth dynamics. During normal monitoring, the frame rate is set low to reduce bandwidth consumption. When motion is detected, the frame rate will increase to allow for smooth and high quality video feeds.

■ On-board storage
Traditionally, images are stored in back-end devices, resulting in high storage requirements. Storing images on a memory card in the camera and having them transmit only when necessary effectively reduces bandwidth and storage requirements.

On-board storage will become a major trend as memory cards develop rapidly. For example, a 2TB SDXC card can store 1MB images continuously for 6 months.
