The best thing Mick ever did. He never topped this. Yes indeed, "the only performance that makes it ... that really makes it ... that makes it all the way ... is the one that achieves madness." I watch this movie over and over (I rather relate to Turner) and see some new detail every time. Wierd? Yes. But deep, in its juxtaposition and comparison of opposites, with a bit of philosophy thrown in for good measure...

Just listened to Ry Cooder's new tune "No Banker's left Behind". Although it is timely, witty, etc., it will NEVER beat his slide guitar "perfomance" on Mick Jagger's "Memo From Turner" in the movie "Performance" ;D
