  • What a beautiful brunette who never got the recognition that she rightly deserved. Such a tragedy of a short career cut short by cancer (osteosarcoma; bone cancer that cost her a leg before she died)...RIP, Suzan.

  • East of Sumatra is hard to find except thru second hand sources that may have recorded it off the air. Hopefully TCM will eventually get their hands on it.

  • Richard Long had a relationship with Suzan Ball. Long was at Suzan's bedside when she was dying and Suzan in delerium said "Tony!", meaning Tony Quinn, with whom she also had a relationship. Apparently, Long went into a head-trip over that.

  • I read somewhere Marlon Brande once said that if Suzan Ball would have lived Marilyn Monroe wouldn't be the only eternal sex symbol or maybe even a lower sex symbol than Suzan .

  • WHAT A LOSS!

  • Just read about the tragedy almost 56 years ago ...

    Aloha from Hawaii!

  • Wow! A stunning performance. She really delivers that number like a seasoned pro and I don't think she was even twenty yet. World-class beauty, world-class talent. I'd love to see the whole film.
