I am Mitel-certified now. The setup is quite complex. Extremely complex. But once it works it's suuuuuper sexy. Really really awesome. Where are you located? Maybe I could help?
Boise, Idaho. I didn't think it was that difficult when we set it up with a demo unit we borrowed from a phone company. We have been doing Sun Rays for some time and wanted the value add for our customers. Unfortunately, this isn't a technical issue - rather an issue with getting someone from Mitel to talk to us about it. It is more than odd that a company wouldn't even return calls or emails...doesn't inspire confidence.
As far as I know there were job cuts ... I think up to 20% of the folks at Mitel lost their jobs due to the current crisis. Oh well ... still better than Nortel I guess which are dead now. As for complexity: OK, don't get me wrong :) Most other people I talk to think they just have to get the phones and "that's it" ... Well, it's not that simple :) ... but OK, you've been doing Sun Rays so you know all that. :)
With their lack of customer service, I am not surprised they lost 20% of their workforce. Since I have been trying to contact them for 9 months (long before the current "crisis") this doesn't apply. On to your other point - it took us less than an hour to get out Sun Ray solution to run with the Mitel piece, so yes I do know all that...
It is the bad customer service from Mitel that is a concern. If we could only get Cisco to work with Sun Rays...now that would be a solution to sell...
