Women, they are such philistines & parochial people. They totally don't get it. This is one of the world's most innovative, Avant-gardé, creatively artistic films ever to hit our senses. And every time you watch it, you witness something else you didn't see before. It never looses it's power.

But all women see is the violence. Even though they watch Eastenders, Big Brother, Shameless & other tacky programs. They don't get Sci-Fi, Music, Sport, Computer games, etc. Nothing. Such shallow minds.

The movie was violent but there was actually a purpose of the violence in the movie, so it wasn't as mindless as it seemed, in fact the violence characterized the main character in the movie.
