Datsun 240z smokes turbo Civic drag racing

My 1973 Datsun 240z running at the RaceLegal 1/8 mile drags at Qualcomm stadium. Experimental build high compression L28 engine running modified SU carbs. Consistently ran 8.8 ET passes at about 80mph trap. Very limited traction on street tires.

@datsun723 I like the p79. I know everyone on the forums gives it a really bad name but I think its is a very capable cylinder head. With some massaging, my P79 makes over 200 rear wheel horsepower on a 2.8L with SU's! There are lots of people with much more "Datsun experience" than me that will tell you you'll never make any sort of HP with the P79.... But I disagree and have proof to back it up, lol.

@frogsoftheroad Well I'm just running the stock EFI and will be switching to a VQ35hr eventually but maybe having this head rebuilt isn't such a bad idea for now. As long as I can keep those civics in line ;-)
