How did you play this? I need it to accompany someone. I have the chords but how do you make them flow more? Any tecniques?
-
hello im thinking of buying this keyboard do you know if you need a computer to just play or can you plug it in and play straight away, thanks.
-
that's great !
-
this is nice

Used an external midi module for this track, but I use Ivory and a whole slew of other VSTs now with an Edirol midi interface.
-
What software do you use to generate the sounds for the keyboard? I use fluidsynth.
USB Interfaces can be cheap, I've heard that the EMU Xmidi is good, the cheap HDE one works perfectly.
-
No USB Midi port on this model so yeah you'll need an interface. I use an Edirol UM-1ex and it has worked very well.
-
Does this keyboard have USB connection or do you need a midi interface.

Hey, nice playing. I'm debating between the sl 990xp and the VMK-188 plus. Both have the same keybed so the only thing holding me back from getting the 990xp is the velocity curves. How many velocity curves does the sl990xp come with?
-
yes, the 990 has weighted hammers.
-
Yes
-
hi.. are the keys reall hammer action? i mean if they have the weight of piano keys
thanks!
-
Fatar SL-990 XP and SL-990 Pro both dont have USB-Out, only MIDI-Out.
-
I don't have Vista so I would not know, sorry.
-
is it possible to connect this keyboard to winVista through USB?
-
Hey thanks! I personally feel the touch is excellent on this keyboard... real piano actions vary A LOT from brand to brand, so I imagine somewhere out there, there is a piano that feels like this keyboard. The only reason I didn't buy a VMK-188 was because it was too expensive for my budget, but I heard it was a great controller.
-
hey there
nice work
you seem like more of a pianist?
which is why I gotta ask you this
how do the keys of this feel as compared to a real piano? did u choose this over the higher studiologic model, the Studiologic VMK-188plus, if so why?
i appreciate your feedback friendd

@cescaperoni0101 -- the sound is coming from a Kurzweil Me-1 midi module, not the keyboard. Thanks

Nice.
How long have you owned this? Can you play fast trills, etc, without any notes missing?

Hmm, I owned the keyboard for well over a year. You can play trills just fine with the keyboard for the most part. Thanks for the comment.
