PLEASE WATCH THIS IN 720HD!!! Ok, had to say that first off.... So at last, Part 3 of the Reaktor Module, new features; 4 osc-hoovemonger for droning subs, drum samples tweaked for more precise bpm translation, and most importantly realtime polyphonic pitch quantization. Although with the screen capture being completely mangled as well (I heart After Effects), this video has become more of a conceptual thesis statement (independent study lol) on the potential interaction of the audible and visible spectra. To go in to a bit more detail, the audio is just a quick screen/sound capture/thrown together keymashing session. The visual part is an After Effects plugin called Form by Trapcode, which allows certain parameters to be controlled by specified frequencies provided by the incoming audio, the Reaktor module. There are a total of 5 audio analyzers built into the Form plugin, each can be set to a different center frequency, bandwidth, threshold, ouput level, and of course virtually every parameter of the plugin can be controlled by these analyzers. This is kind of what I foresee this module becoming, an art exhibit regarding interactive multimedia. Basically this kind of visual interaction would be happening in realtime and the Reaktor module could be configured to react to a passerby's motions and sound via a series of proximeters positioned around the exhibit. But for now, enjoy the chaos, errr controlled chaos I guess :D One more thing, apologies for the latency stutters, although there's only like 2 spots where the latency geeked out, this definitely put my processor through the grinder, and I'm amazed I was even able to capture this in realtime, so I figured I will share this either way, who cares if it's not perfect, it's progress none the less. So on that note, enjoy!

  • pfff...ticklesitter-.- when i first listened to your album on Mode of Proof ,i knew your a genius............

  • @markuskiner much appreciated \mm/

  • Amazing, beautiful piece of work...I think this is your best work to date...It gives a cosmic, spiritual feeling....I like the vastness of space that you create. Did you use After Effects for the animation? Wonder, 3-D sense of depth, and it is right in sync with your music!

  • @HoneyRadiance thanks again Rick. And I did indeed use After Effects for the visual side of this piece. And you're definitely right on, the music was fed through an After Effects plugin called SoundKeys, by Trapcode. It basically splits the audio input into four freq bands, and the amplitude of the separate bands can be written to keyframes. So you can assign these keyframes to control whatever parameter you'd like. I think you'll get alot out of the plugin ;) Thanks again Rick, namastai

  • @HoneyRadiance p.s. I found a copy of that Stockhausen record on ebay, but it was $130 :P so you definitely found a great score! well, the monetary value seems like nothing compared to the occult significance ;) cya in the globareality chat kind sir

  • Hi, sorry for the late comment. I wanted to say that this must be the epitome of your work. Although the video is great (and props for making it), I very much liked the view on Reaktor modules, just to get a few glimpses on the process itself while in the making. Oh and I would really really love to attend the exhibition, this is a perfect idea for an installation. Keep up with good work.

  • @mekonin Thank you for your accurate compliment :) Indeed this is kind of the Sistine Chapel of my work, or in the least it's an independent thesis statement on chaos and control within the audible spectrum. I'll keep you and everyone else interested, up on my future plans for displaying this publicly. My goal is to have permanent exhibits planted at various multimedia galleries worldwide, each of them slightly different and unique to their location (musical traditions). thx again Mekonin
