@TheUnderHyped it was the close of the tappan/westinghouse factory, then the massive lay offs at the steel mill, ppl had moved from states away for those two factories back in the day for work but once they went under only a few families in mansfield had any money.

This really doesn't show the "best" part of Mansfield. You kinda failed to show the good spots... any of the older homes off park ave... the cook road area... or anything like that. But you did succeed in making us look like a poor white trash ghetto town. Thanks for that.

I too am from this town and I know that there are as many white as black, hispanic, etc in the neighborhoods shown. I grew up down Boughton Av so I know what the hood is like.Race has nothing to do with it.It is nothing more than money.You live where you can afford to.Mansfield needs help desparately.All the factories are closing down.Mayor Culliver was TRYING to fixup the Northside,I gotta at least give him credit for that.

Thats right this area of town has been like this for as long as I can remember the bad thing is most of the people over there just keep letting it stay this way if the wanted it to be nicer they could of put forth the effort to make it better but no they would rather bitch and moan and groan about it.. I don't want to hear about it you have the power to change your own circumstances and it's your own fault that u haven't ...
