We love the virgin Mary. We do NOT see her as the queen of heaven, because in Heaven there is only One in position of authority and that is God. According to 1 Timothy 2:5 there is "only one mediator between man and God, the man Jesus Christ."
Jesus work on the Cross is complete. We cannot add to it. No amount of good deeds saves us from Hell because it's not about what WE do but about what JESUS has already done. What he asks is a personal relationship with him.

Here's the thing, just because so many people are unified under one "doctrine" it doesn't make it right. For example, the Jehovah's Witnesses ALL agree that Jesus is the Archangel Michael. By your logic, their universal, unchanging doctrine, makes them correct as well. You see, I love Catholics, most of my friends are Catholics, and some of them genuinely love Jesus. What sets us apart from Orthodox Catholicism is that we refuse to worship the Virgin Mary as the Queen of Heaven.
